Security Information You can make secure credit card orders in confidence over the Internet with any browser that supports the "https" security protocol. Most browsers in use today support this secure protocol including: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, AOL's version 3 and above, Compuserve, Prodigy, Opera and others. If your browser does not support https, you will get an error message when trying to access the secure server page. When you are connected to our secure server, we can send and receive private information across the public Internet. Your name, address and credit card is encrypted (scrambled) using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) specification. This encryption is performed on YOUR computer BEFORE your information is sent over the Internet. Once your data reaches our secure server, it is un-encrypted and we can process the data. You can ensure that you are in secure (encrypted) mode quickly and easily. Most browsers provide an indicator that confirms that you are in secure mode. This is usually a gold padlock or gold key in the status bar of your browser. In addition, the address (URL) of the site will change from "http://" to "https://" - the "S" indicates that your connection is secure. This and other technologies are utilised to help ensure credit card information cannot be intercepted while in transit on the Internet and that it reaches its destination in a timely and secure manner. |
