[women-rights] CEDAW 31st session: Concluding Comments

Dear Subscribers,

We are pleased to provide you herewith the thirty-first distribution of
treaty body recommendations through the listserve administered by the
Treaty Body Recommendations Unit of the Office of the High Commissioner for
Human Rights.

We attach, for your information, the Concluding Comments adopted by the
Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women at its
thirty-first session held from 6 to 23 July 2004 in New York, in respect of
reports submitted by eight States parties. The Concluding Comments are
provided in advance unedited version and in the language of adoption.  The
final versions, in all six official languages of the United Nations, will
be posted in due course on the relevant webpage of the Division for the
Advancement of Women (www.un.org/womenwatch/daw/cedaw).
Under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination
against Women, the Committee adopted Concluding  Comments in respect of the
following 8 States parties:

Further attached is the revised global Reporting Schedule setting out the
tentative consideration of State reports by treaty and session in 2004 and
