ABA Seeks Women's Rights Specialists for India Program

The American Bar Association and partners Freedom House and the National
Democratic Institute (NDI) seek candidates for three 24-month positions,
resident in Delhi, Bangalore, and Jaipur, India, to staff a potential
USAID-funded women's legal rights program.  Candidates for all positions
must be licensed attorneys, with substantial experience designing and
implementing women's legal rights programs in developing countries, in
partnership with local  NGO's and community based organizations. Experience
with capacity and institution building, community based programs, advocacy
and public participation programs is required.   Knowledge of India or the
South Asia region also highly desirable.  Chief of Party position will be
based in Delhi and in addition to foregoing requirements will require an
individual experienced in building relationships with high level government
and donor officials, as well as in program and personnel management.
Women's legal rights liaison positions will be based in Bangalore and
Jaipur, respectively, and require self-starters with ability to build
positive working relationships with local women's rights entities. Salary
and benefits are competitive with other USAID funded field positions. Please
