Scholars-in-Residence Program 2006/07

Third Millennium Foundation (TMF) is pleased to announce the opening of
its application pool for its 2006 Scholars-in-Residence Program. The
Scholars-in-Residence Program supports post doctoral fellows and young
assistant professors from various academic disciplines to conduct research
in the field of human rights and tolerance education. In its upcoming
cycle 2006/07 TMF will focus its Scholar-in-Residence Program specifically
on “unlearning intolerance” among children and/ or youth in formal and/ or
informal educational settings that are critical to practitioners or
policymakers’ work.

TMF awards an average of two scholars per academic year for residency at
the International Center for Tolerance Education (ICTE) located in
Brooklyn, New York. ICTE, an initiative of TMF, is a “do tank” or social
laboratory dedicated to innovative research and practice in the fields of
tolerance education and human rights. ICTE brings together a diversity of
international leaders, scholars-in-residence and young entrepreneurs to
develop innovative and interdisciplinary projects based on inclusion,
participation and collaboration. Residency at ICTE provides fellows with a
range of resources and networking opportunities.

Full application materials must be submitted by February 1, 2006.
Notification of selected applicants will be made by March 24, 2006.
