I was researching Psychological Torture and I was wondering if keeping families separated could be considered torture. I am a Canadian citizen and am married to a Nicaraguan. My wife and children have never been to Canada. We have been married since April, 2001. Initially we applied for a visitors visa so my wife could come to Canada and meet my family and see if she would like to move here. This was denied as she is "an intended immigrant". I could tell you a very long story but do not want to waste your time. I feel that we are being tortured and I would like to know your thoughts on the matter. thank you Robert Middleton bookbinder99@hotmail.com ========== Psychology and Human Rights listserv ========== Send mail intended for the list to <psychology-humanrights-l@hrea.org>.
