[psych-hr] Rudolf Virchow Awards: extension of deadline

The deadline for the the professional and student Rudolf Virchow awards has 
been extended from June 15, 2002 to July 15, 2002. Details about the award 
appear at: http://www.cudenver.edu//sma/prizes_and_awards.htm

The annual awards are given by the Critical Anthropology of Health Caucus, 
a special interest group of SMA. The professional award honors an article, 
and the student award a paper or article, that reflects, extends or 
advances critical perspectives in medical anthropology -- materialist 
approaches that emphasize the social and political economic nature of 
health, disease and healing; they embrace both micro and macro perspectives.

Except in exceptional circumstances, the professional award is given for 
articles published during 2001. Student papers should have been written in 
2001 or 2002.

Please send three copies of the papers or articles, that are postmarked by 
July 15, 2002 to:
