I am writing to see if any of you are interested in attending what will be a spectacular evening. Seeds of Peace will be holding its Concert for Peace in the Middle East on Monday, June 3, at Carnegie Hall in New York City. For those who don't know, Seeds of Peace is an extraordinary organization that brings together Palestinian and Israeli youth for coexistence activities at our camp in Maine and our Center for Coexistence in Jerusalem. We are presently in the unique position of being the only organization that maintains dialog between Israelis and Palestinians despite armed conflict. We also support youth from other regions of conflict: the Balkans, the divided island of Cyprus, India-Pakistan, Afghanistan. The Concert will be hosted by Patrick Stewart and feature Broadway stars such as Bebe Neuwirth, Michael Feinstein, Linda Eder, Alvin Ailey Dancer Desmond Richardson and many others but even more interesting (I think) will be the kids themselves. Last year, we were moved to tears by their impassioned pleas for peace, their music, and their relationships.
