[prisoner-rights] CAT 33rd session: Concluding Observations

We are pleased to provide you herewith the twenty-third distribution of
treaty body recommendations through the listserve administered by the
Treaty Body Recommendations Unit, Office of the High Commissioner for Human
Rights.

We are pleased to attach for your information the Concluding Observations
in respect of reports presented by States parties to the Committee against
Torture, which held its 33rd  session from 8 to 26 November 2004. The
States parties concerned are Argentina, Greece and the United Kingdom of
Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The documents are provided in their
advance unedited version and in the original language of adoption, with
further languages available in due course from the Treaty Body Database of

The decisions of the Committee with respect to inidvidual communications
submitted under the article 22 of the Convention will be circulated under

Further attached is the revised global Reporting Schedule setting out the
State reports, received in the Secretariat and tentatively scheduled for
consideration in 2004 and 2005, by treaty and session. The schedule,
correct as of 20 October 2004, is subject to change without notice.
