The Council of Europe's Committee for the prevention of torture and
inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment (CPT) visited, in February
2003, the Imrali prison in Turkey where Abdullah ÖCALAN is detained.

The CPT's report on this visit and the Turkish authorities' response have
been made public today, with the agreement of the Turkish authorities.
