ICTs and human rights internship at HREA



INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

RESEARCH AND LOGISTICAL SUPPORT FOR INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ICTs AND
HUMAN RIGHTS

Who we need

We are seeking a graduate student with excellent organizational and
research skills. The intern will assist in the preparation of an
international colloquium on information and communication technologies
(ICTs) and human rights, which will take place in the Boston (USA) in June
2004. One of the main tasks is the compilation of case studies and best
practices of the use of ICTs for human rights work. The ideal intern will
have a strong interest in the application of information technologies for
social change and international relations, in addition to the
aforementioned skills.

When

We are seeking someone for spring 2004, with a possible extension into the
summer.

Hours required

Flexible, depending upon the availability of the intern. A minimum of 15
hours per week, with 8 of these on-site and additional off-site work,
would be ideal.

Support available

This internship is unpaid. However, a transportation subsidy is available
to cover commuter rail costs to Concord (Massachusetts), where we are
based. Work study can be arranged for eligible students.
