The organization is a feminist NGO dedicated to women’s information and communication needs. The focus of the conversation will be on Internet use and regulation throughout the Asia-Pacific region, included in the discussion will be how information and communication technologies are being used by and promoting the interests of women in the region and the impact the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) will have on the region. The Asia-Pacific region is a world leader in advanced Internet technology and will soon have more Internet users than North America. Yet, the region faces a digital divide that prevents millions of people, particularly women, from accessing the Internet. The goal of the series is to help people network while also providing a platform for information exchange on technological uses, needs and trends throughout the world.
