Digital Freedom Network (DFN) will host another installment of its monthly
Food For Thought Breakfast Conversation Series on Wednesday, February 26,
2003 with Bea Bezmalinovic of NetAid, a New York-based organization that
uses online volunteering to build an active network of people and
organizations in developed countries committed to ending extreme poverty
around the world, and Lea Policoff of Idealist.org, a Web site that connects
people, organizations and resources to help build a world where all people
can live free and dignified lives.

This is the second in a series of informal monthly meetings focusing on the
intersection of human rights and technology. This month's discussion will
center around the following questions: How does online volunteering work?
Is it a successful way to aid human rights-related issues? How does an
organization go about organizing online volunteers? To what extent can you
use the Internet to create and maintain a productive corps of volunteers?

The goal of the series is to help people network while also providing a
platform for information exchange on technological uses, needs and trends
throughout the world.

DFN is a non-profit organization that promotes human rights education and
activism around the world, primarily through the use of Internet technology.
