My name is John Lannon. As part of an MA course in Peace and Development
Studies at the University of Limerick in Ireland, I am doing research into
how national and international non-governmental organizations fighting
against torture take advantage of Information and Communications Technology
(ICT), and in particular the Internet.

My work looks at how the Internet can be used to achieve the objectives of
anti-torture activists and researchers, the constraints and dangers
inherent in its use, and the potential for its future role within the
international human rights movement.

I would be grateful if you would take a few minutes to contribute to this
research by filling in the questionnaire attached, and returning it to me
before 15 June 2002.

Thank you for your help.
