WENT2001 Announcement and Application on the Web



The official announcement and the application form for the 2001 Asian 
Women's Electronic Network Training (WENT2001) are now available at the 
AWORC website <http://www.jca.apc.org/aworc/went2001/index.html>.

WENT2001 is an annual workshop organised by the Asian Women's Resource 
Exchange (AWORC), an Internet-based women's information network and service 
in Asia. The workshop aims to train participants in running effective 
web-based information services, in using online communication tools to 
advance their networking and advocacy work, and in developing databases. 
This year, WENT2001 will be held from July 2-8 at the Sookmyung Women's 
University in Seoul, Korea.

WENT2001 is open to all women whose organisations play or will play a 
significant role in promoting the use of information and communication 
technology to enhance women's role and capacity in social and policy 
advocacy, as well as to strengthen women's organisations and networks in 
Asia and the Pacific.

The deadline for the submission of application forms is on 15 MAY 2001. The 
application form is available at
