My name is Gifti Nadi and I work at the African Women's
Media Center which provides training and resources for
African women journalists on the continent. The AWMC is
based in Dakar, Senegal and has staff in Washington D.C.
where the parent organization, the International Women's
Media Foundation is based. A couple of months back, I sent
an e-mail to this group describing our annual cyberforum
which is technically organized out of Washington D.C. with
speakers and participants from all over English Speaking and
French Speaking Africa. Host sites such as USIS offices were
very instrumental in giving internet access to local women
journalists throughout the continent.

Currently, we are looking to organize a 1 week on-line
training session on reporting on HIV/AIDS. Do you have any
technical suggestions or examples of types of programs to
use to create a very basic interactive on-line training
course simple enough for women journalists across the
African continent to use despite bad connections, slow
modems and old computers? We are targeting the same type of
audience with a focus on journalists who work on health
issues.

Thank you for your advice and suggestions.

Sincerely,

Gifti Nadi
