Dear Friends,

The BlueLink Information Network http://www.bluelnk.net is
urgently seeking to recruit a European Volunteer for a 6
months period, as part of an EVS sponsored programme.
BlueLink is a Bulgarian partner of APC - Central Europe
http://www.apc.org/

The European Volunteer will work over a project on
Information exchange, co-operation and matching of resources
for the development of NGOs in Bulgaria. The project aims at
supporting the network: enrich the information content,
carry out tasks and service for NGOs that serve the local
community, link Bulgarian NGOs with partners from Western
Europe.

European Volunteer's tasks will include searching and
operating information, simple web site development,
development of new projects (any creative ideas will be
welcome), help with the organisation of BlueLink user
training and seminars, keep in contact with BlueLink partner
organisations and look for new partners, taking part in boat
sailing competitions as part of the BlueLink crew. More
profiled tasks according to the European volunteers personal
qualifications and preferences will be available optionally
in fields like information management, Internet, multimedia,
video production, environmental journalism etc.

The European Volunteer will be provided with accommodation
in Sofia, food and pocket money throughout the period of
work. She/he will also receive basic language and
orientation training . Special field trips throughout
Bulgaria will be organised for the European Volunteer to
learn more about the country. Additional spare time
activities will also be arranged.

The volunteer position is provided by the European Voluntary
Service The philosophy of the EVS programme is based on two
fundamental principles : a new kind of learning experience
for young people and a helping hand for local development.

Any young person aged between 18-25 who is legally resident
in one of the Member States of the European Union, Norway or
Iceland can become a "European Volunteer". The programme is
open to everyone. No specific qualifications are required.
It is one of the objectives of the programme to promote the
participation of young people who have less opportunities
than others for social, economic, cultural, ethnic or
geographical reasons or due to a personal disability.
