BlueLink is a Bulgarian partner of APC - Central Europe http://www.apc.org/ The European Volunteer will work over a project on Information exchange, co-operation and matching of resources for the development of NGOs in Bulgaria. The project aims at supporting the network: enrich the information content, carry out tasks and service for NGOs that serve the local community, link Bulgarian NGOs with partners from Western Europe. European Volunteer's tasks will include searching and operating information, simple web site development, development of new projects (any creative ideas will be welcome), help with the organisation of BlueLink user training and seminars, keep in contact with BlueLink partner organisations and look for new partners, taking part in boat sailing competitions as part of the BlueLink crew. More profiled tasks according to the European volunteers personal qualifications and preferences will be available optionally in fields like information management, Internet, multimedia, video production, environmental journalism etc. The European Volunteer will be provided with accommodation in Sofia, food and pocket money throughout the period of work. She/he will also receive basic language and orientation training . Special field trips throughout Bulgaria will be organised for the European Volunteer to learn more about the country. Additional spare time activities will also be arranged. The volunteer position is provided by the European Voluntary Service The philosophy of the EVS programme is based on two fundamental principles : a new kind of learning experience for young people and a helping hand for local development. Any young person aged between 18-25 who is legally resident in one of the Member States of the European Union, Norway or Iceland can become a "European Volunteer". The programme is open to everyone. No specific qualifications are required. It is one of the objectives of the programme to promote the participation of young people who have less opportunities than others for social, economic, cultural, ethnic or geographical reasons or due to a personal disability.
