Functions:Under the general supervision of the Chief, FMLSU,
the incumbent is expected to perform systems analysis,
programming and development of Field Mission Logistics
Systems modules. This system is an integrated logistics
system which is being developed to support the logistics
processes in the field missions. The program is based on
Lotus Notes and uses Lotus Script and is run on a Domino
Server platform. The incumbent analyses the systems' design
from development to deployment and manages the support of
the daily operations of the system. The incumbent
standardises technical requirements for the system and
prepares guidelines for field missions use. The incumbent
ensures and maintains data integrity throughout the system
by identifying and resolving replication conflicts. He/She
determines schedules for system maintenance, modification of
new versions, maintenance checks and creates and updates
user documentation and specifies the technical and
programming guidelines. The incumbent is responsible for
developing customized management reports using Notes.

Requirements:Advanced University Degree preferably in
Computer Science. A minimum 6 years of experience in design,
development and management of information systems using
Notes based tools, including progressively responsible
professional experience at the international level.

Expert level programming in database management systems,
Lotus Notes system and application development, Lotus Notes
Script, Domino Server system administration, Notes and
Crystal Reporter and knowledge of other object oriented
programming language is essential. Fluency in English.
Working knowledge of other UN languages an asset.

Preference will be given to equally qualified women candidates.

post.
