Asia Workshop Update: New Tactics in Human Rights (Chiang Mai)

ASIA WORKSHOP BEGINS!

On Friday, August 4, more than 40 activists from across Asia arrived in
Chiang Mai, Thailand to share innovative tactics in human rights. We are
posting presentations, photos, participant interviews and reports
throughout the week.

Workshop pages are being continually updated as events transpire
in Chiang Mai, so come back often to keep abreast of all the goings on.

The workshop features 10 innovative tactics that have been effectively
carried out in Asia. A major focus of the program is transferability, so
we encourage activists worldwide to learn more about them.

HIGHLIGHT: ADAPTING TACTICS TO YOUR VILLAGE

At the beginning of the workshop, participants divided themselves into
"village teams" based on thematic issues. Throughout the event, villages
meet to discuss the applicability of certain tactics to their issues and
collectively create a "tactical map" of potential solutions to present
on the final day.
