Dear educators, Please find herewith an invitation for a Seminar on the Commission for Human Rights that the World Federation of United Nations Association is organizing in collaboration with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. The aim of the Seminar will be to present and promote the Human Rights system while demystifying the role played by the Commission in order to facilitate a better understanding and the appropriation of this common heritage by the participants to the Seminar. Moreover, a part of the Seminar will be dedicated to the activities of the Office of the High Commissioner in the field. Finally, the last day of the Seminar will address the issue of the reform of the Commission, as proposed by the Secretary General on April this year. The speaker are UN Human Rights experts, coming in particular from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, University professors as well as specialists of governmental and non-governmental organizations.
