Dear friends,

(urgent) Looking for opinions from youngsters from Pakistan, Morocco,
India and Albania:

- a Pakistani young girl/women who experienced forced marriage
- a Moroccan middle class youngster
- a young Indian Dalit
- a middle class youngster from Iran
- an Albanian middle class youngster

I have a request for those among you who have contacts with youngsters
from one of the above mentioned categories. At this moment our Belgian
human rights education NGO is giving support to the organisation
Globelink, which in Flanders (Belgium) organizes youth parliaments, a sort
of extensive simulation/discussion game on global issues. Next school year
the discussion theme is about young people and their rights. For writing a
file for the participants Globelink is collecting opinions on a number of
subjects (see below) and is especially looking for opinions of above
mentioned young people. Could you help them via personal or professional
contacts that you have? The answers on these questions have to be mailed
to Nele De Gersem (Globelink) <nele@globelink.be> (cc
wim.taelman@vormen.org).

As the writer of the file needs to be able to write the file in a rather
short term, this request is urgent.

My question is the following: could you give me the opinion of a young
person, ideally 16-18 years old, but maybe a bit older, from one of the
above mentioned categories/countries, on the following subjects? (see
below)

I am looking for these random opinions, to write a role play for the youth
parliament we organise every year. This year we would like to play the
role play with real young people - roles from over the world, instead of
adult-roles, politicians or NGO's. Therefore, I'm looking for the opinion
of real young people in 12 countries.

It would be very very nice if you could give me such an opinion.

Do you think it is possible?

The questions for the opinion:


'Your opinion on the rights you have concerning the following topics:'
1) Sexuality:
- aids: which rights do you think you deserve in case you would be HIV-
positive?
- Sex education: which rights do you think you deserve concerning sex
education?
- choice of a partner: do you think you deserve to choose your partner
yourself? ....

2) Education / school:
- right on education: do you think it's ok to have a right on
education?
- quality in education: what do you think should be your rights
concerning quality in education?
- participation in education: do you think you should have the rights
to say your opinion in education matters? On what? (subjects, teachers,
infrastructure, organisation,...)

3) Labour:
- acceptable child labour: does that exist in your opinion?
- combination with education: should you have the right to combine
education with labour?
- to decide about your own future: do you think you should have the
right to decide about your own future?
