Graduate training program in conflict transformation (Brattleboro, 30 May-17 June 2005)

Dear Friends:

There are still a few weeks left to apply for the conflict transformation
program at CONTACT. The CONTACT Summer Institute is a three-week
three-credit graduate training program in conflict transformation.

It is specifically designed for grassroots field workers of development and
community-based organizations who face the challenges of serving their
communities in often-volatile environments. The program this year runs
from May 30 until June 17, 2005. You can have an E-Application sent to you
as an automatic response by sending a blank email to <summerinstitute@sit.edu>.

This year we have a special section geard toward educators, particularly
ESL teachers, as a joint offering from our conflict tranformation and
teacher training programs.

The program offers skills in:
Conflict Analysis & Intervention
Inter-communal Dialogue
Reconciliation & Forgiveness
Intercultural Negotiation & Mediation
Non-Violent Action
Compassionate Listening
Grant Writing and Fundraising for Peace Work
Graduate Certificate and Degree Programs

Participants who would like a more thorough grounding in conflict
transformation can continue their studies in CONTACT's Graduate
Certificate Program or the Joint Certificate/MA in Conflict Transformation
