It will show that developments in information technology are giving political parties a new lease of life, contrary to the belief that political parties are on the decline. In what ways does information technology such as the Internet empower political parties, especially those in Asia? What are some of the negative outcomes? This presentation provides some insights into the situations in South Korea, Japan, India and Singapore.
