ARRC's website update

Dear Listserv Members,

The Asian Regional Resource Center for Human Rights Education (ARRC) has
updated its website, www.arrc-hre.com, to serve you better. Following is
what has been updated:

1. The Making a Difference journal, volume four has been posted. It
contains human rights success stories. This document is available for
download in the What's New section. The journal provides new insights and
good practices of human rights education in various countries. It covers
seven inspiring success stories on human rights issues, varying from
non-formal activities for children, peasants, women, and community people's
rights. The journal also includes human rights education articles in the
formal education.

In our latest issue, we have a focus on community rights as presented by
three stories in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Thailand in which you can learn
about promising practices experienced by local NGOs and people's
organizations together working to reclaim their rights.

    2. Under the Schedule section is information pertaining to the upcoming
conference workshop entitled, Human Rights Education in Asia-Pacific:
Defining Challenges and Strategies. This event will bring together human
rights educators from regional and national NGOs, as well as
representatives from United Nations agencies in the region, to fulfill the
goal of the United Nations Decade for Human Rights Education.

At the bottom of this section are three documents available for download,
