El Centro para Accion Sostenible pro Derechos Humanos se complace al

HERRAMIENTAS PARA GRUPOS PRO DERECHOS HUMANOS A NIVEL MUNDIAL.

Baseada en las experiencias de activistas pro derechos humanos y
periodistas de todas partes del mundo, esta guia habla de unas
estrategias para poder desarrollar y sostener relaciones exitosas a
largo plazo con los medios de comunicacion.  La publicacion se basea en
entrevistas de los continentes del sur- Africa, America Latina y Asia -
y asi fomenta el intercambio de informacion entre las diversas culturas
en vez de enfocarse en una perspectiva occidental tradicional.

El manual contiene temas como: comprendiendo a la prensa local e
internacional, las realidades de la cobertura internacional, elegiendo
la estrategia mas apropiada para colaborar con los medios informativos,

The Center for Sustainable Human Rights Action is pleased to announce
the publication of our latest handbook,
     OPTIMIZANDO SUS RELACIONES CON LOS MEDIOS DE COMUNICACION:
HERRAMIENTAS PARA GRUPOS PRO DERECHOS HUMANOS A NIVEL MUNDIAL.

Based on the experiences of human rights activists and journalists from
around the world, the guide addresses strategies for building and
maintaining long-term, productive relationships with the mass media.
The publication's reliance on interviews from the Global South - Africa,
Latin America and Asia - encourages information sharing between cultures
rather than focusing on a traditionally western perspective.

Handbook topics include: understanding the local and international
press, the realities of international coverage, choosing the right media
strategy, monitoring the media, and utilizing the media to promote human
rights issues and organizations.

Making the Most of the Media is currently available in English and
Spanish.  Translations in Arabic and French are expected. The manual
