The West Africa Peacebuilding Institute (WAPI 2007) 
Three Weeks Training courses 
Accra, Ghana 

The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) is the leading
organization in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, transformation and
mitigation in Africa. The mandate of WANEP is to build the capacity of
peacebuilding, development and human rights practitioners in Africa and
worldwide on peace and security issues to promote and protect human
security through context specific tools and indigenous techniques. To
fulfill its mandate, WANEP holds each year, a three-week peacebuilding
training course at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training
Centre (KAIPTC) in Accra, Ghana.

The training covers a range of courses on Conflict resolution techniques,
Women and Peacebuilding, Youth and Peace Education, Early Warning and
Early Response, Justice, Reconciliation, Mediation and so on.

WAPI 2007 will be held at KAIPTC from September 3 to 21, 2007. We are
inviting your institution to participate in one or more of our courses. We
are also kindly requesting that you disseminate this information to
relevant individuals and organizations.
