DOCUMENTARY FILM-MAKER AVAILABLE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS WORK Dear colleagues, I am currently seeking an entry-level position in the areas of documentary film production. I am a Media Arts graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Ireland where, over four years, I was involved on many media projects, including TV and Radio Shows, and Documentary and Drama pieces. I have directed three short films, which are available on DVD. The quality of the pieces will demonstrate an understanding of what is required for media production. Being a director meant I was forced to operate within deadline limits and budget constraints, and above all, be a team player and understand what is needed for effective collaboration. In addition, I have a basic knowledge and experience of working with Final Cut Pro HD, AVID, Pro Tools, and linear Beta decks. I have participated in lighting workshops taught by industry professionals. In short, the education received at DIT gave me a quality training across many areas of technical and production-orientated expertise. Furthermore, I am willing to travel anywhere in the world at short notice if it is required for a good story and a good cause such as human rights. I have traveled alone in the Global South and consider myself a fearless adventurer, open to "extreme experiences," especially in combination with people interested in developing documentary films helpful in promoting human rights education. I am a green card holder and an EU citizen. Contact me if you feel I may be the person you need. Barry Fowler PO Box 343 Eldorado Springs CO 80025 USA E-mail: < > ---------- 4.
