'Measuring the Right to Education' This book presents an innovative approach for the observation and analysis of the right to education. Published by UNESCO’s Institute for Lifelong Learning, the methodology used is based upon the work of the economist Amartya Sen. It is informed by 47 indicators designed to measure the four capabilities of the educational system: acceptability, adaptability, availability and accessibility. This approach was developed in a partnership between the Interdisciplinary Institute for Ethics and Human Rights (IIEHR) at the Fribourg University, Switzerland and the Association for the promotion of non-formal education in Burkina Faso (APENF).
