Dear colleagues, The implementaion of the first phase of the World Programme for Human Rights Education has not even started in most government schools in Cameroon. It's the private religious and lay schools that are making an effort to teach citizenship education. Some schools call it Moral education and others Civics. Some human rights NGOs have been educating Cameroonians on their civic and political rights. Some go from school to school giving talks to students and teachers. I am pleading to the UN NGO Working Group not to forget involving Cameroon in their workshops and conferences dealing with the learning strategies.
