The School of Law and the Human Rights Centre, Queen's University of
Belfast, today officially launched the *International Law Video Library*,
a free, internet-based teaching tool, allowing viewers to see interviews
with leading scholars and practitioners in the domain of international law
as well as 'visit' locations relevant to international law.

Thus, for instance, see Philippe Kirsch, President of the International
Criminal Court discuss the notion of 'complementarity'; or Rosalyn
Higgins, the current President of the International Court of Justice,
explain the optional clause system of the ICJ. Likewise, visit genocide
memorial sites in Rwanda or the location where events transpired leading
to the *Passage over Indian Territory* case.

Imbedded within the International Law Video Library is the***
International Human Rights Law Video Library***
(http://www.law.qub.ac.uk/humanrts/video/hr.html), a stand alone video
library focused on issues of human rights.

While the International Law Video Library is meant as a teaching tool for
students of international law at Queen's University of Belfast, it was
developed with the thought that it would be accessible to all and find its
way into lecture halls throughout the world, especially in those places
where resources may be limited.

Please feel free to let others know about the Library, to download
material and use it as a teaching tool.

I will take the liberty of sending notices biannually of additions to the
library. If you have any comments or queries, please do not hesitate to
contact me.

Kind Regards

Jean Allain

The development of the International Law Video Library was generously
funded by the Teaching Quality Enhancement Fund of the Centre for
Education Development at Queen's University of Belfast.
