Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation Programs at the School for International Training, Brattleboro, Vermont, http://www.sit.edu/contact Summer Institute - The Conflict Transformation Across Cultures Summer Institute, offered each June, is a three-week, three-credit professional development and graduate training program in conflict transformation. It is specifically designed for field workers and managers of development and community-based organizations who serve communities in often-volatile environments. Participants in the Summer Institute will develop a full range of skills using participatory and experiential learning methods. Learning takes place both in the classroom and as participants live and socialize together in both structured and unstructured activities. With participants representing more than 25 countries, and a wide variety of regional, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, the Summer Institute creates a multicultural learning laboratory in which the skills and techniques learned can be immediate applied, tested, and evaluated.
