Re: Development of human rights curriculum in primary and secondary schools in Rwanda

Dear Nzovu

Our organisation EISA is active in a number of countries in Africa with
offices in Angola, Burundi, Mozambique and South Africa. In SA in
particular, we have done a lot of work with human rights in education both
in the school curriculum and within a whole school framework. It would be
a pleasure to share our experiences and approaches with you. We have just
published a review on Human Rights in the Curriculum which looks at 5
countries in the SADC region and the approaches they have taken. We are
currently working on a supporting guide for implementation in the
classroom. As part of this initiative we will be hosting a roundtable
event in Malawi and Zambia in the middle of March. If you think you can or
would like to link up with this process in anyway we would be very open to
collaboration. (EISA does have other projects in the pipline for Rwanda
which are more related to elections and good governance). I look forward
to hearing from you in this regard.

Kind regards Sherri
