Minnesota Human Rights Education Curriculum

Dear Human Rights Education Friends,

The University of Minnesota Human Rights Center staff would like to wish
you well during this holiday season!

The University of Minnesota Human Rights Center in partnership with the
Minnesota Department of Human Rights has just launched a primary and
secondary school human rights education curriculum being distributed
statewide and globally via Internet. We welcome your registration and
feedback. One unique contribution is the interactive tool to build human
rights education lesson plans and community action projects through a
seven-step Human Rights Process Model, integrating human rights language,
principles, standards, skills, and practices.

Secondly, here is a link to Global Recommendations in Primary and
Secondary School Teacher Education in HRE, developed by educators at a
Global Strategic Planning Meeting recently in support of the new World
Programme for HRE. We would welcome links to any curriculum, reports, or
policies for HRE integrated into pre-service and in-service teacher
education programs.

Finally, we have made some changes to the human rights education links on
the University of Minnesota Human Rights Library website. We would like to
ask you to take a moment to look at them. If we have not included your
organization, curriculum, or studies and you feel that your organization
should be included, then please submit your link via our online link
request page, which can be found at:
