Online Center for Human Rights Education Literature (CHREL) in Arabic

Dear Colleagues,

The Center for Human Rights Education Literature (CHREL) is an initiative
taken by the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS) in which use
is made of information technology and electronic media. This initiative
makes available a selection of Arabic literature on human rights
education. The initiative is a joint project between the CIHRS and Human
Rights Education Associates (HREA).

In its current stage, the CHREL provides readers with 103 sources,
including human rights education research material, studies, instruments
and declarations. These sources cover various aspects of the process of
human rights education in the Arab world. Below is an example of such
sources:

- A selection of international human rights instruments and treaties;
- Working papers and studies on human rights education and
dissemination;
- Studies and research papers on human rights education within the Arab
political and cultural contexts;
- Working papers and studies on the role of arts and literature in human
rights education and dissemination;
- Training material on women's rights;
- Declarations and recommendations by international and regional
conferences on human rights-related issues in the Arab world.
