Humanitarian Law To Be Introduced in High School Curriculum in Kosovo RTK Agreements for the “Research of Humanitarian Right” Program will soon be signed between the Ministry of Education and International Committee of Red Cross, have claimed officials of the two institutions. Aim of this program is to adopt the humanitarian law in the secondary school curruculum. ICRC Project Coordinator, Idriz Gashi has claimed that this is a transnational program, while its implementation will last around two years. Agim Bërdynaj, official for curriculums in the Ministry of Education, said that this project is one of the most attractive ones for secondary schools in Kosovo. “Beneficiaries are students and professors because Kosovo is a place that came out of the war. This project is done by ICRC which has supported Kosovo before, during and after the war. For now it is about the most attractive project that will be in our schools”. Idriz Gashi has said, “Our ultimate goal is that this Program “Research of the Humanitarian Law”, which has come up on the basis The International Human Rights Law, to be included in Kosovo’s secondary schools “. “Since 2001, 76 countries of the world have started implemented this Program, while until the end of 2005, it is expected that it is done by 94 more countries”, ended the ICRC Project Coordinator”, Idriz Gashi.
