Rosario Human Rights City Seminar (Rosario, 12-22 October 2004)



Dear HR Educators:

Greetings from Argentina.

We are happy to announce the realization of the Regional Seminar "Rosario,
Ciudad de Derechos Humanos" (Rosario Human Rights City), organized by
PDHRE, People's Movement for Human Rights Education; INSGENAR, Gender, Law
and Development Institute; and Rosario Human Rights City Coordinating
Committee.

It will be held on October 12-22 in Rosario, Argentina. This will be a
11-day intensive educational experience for Spanish and Portuguese
speaking activists of Latin America. South American participants from NGOs
can ask for financial support to attend the Seminar, which is designed for
activists with at least 3 years of experience in human rights and social
development organizations.

The seminar will verse around four main topics: Full citizenship: the
enjoyment of human rights; The Interamerican and the International human
rights system; The influence of globalization processes in the life of
countries, and The global and local arenas, articulating to build human
rights communities.  Will have panels and workshops and will pay special
attention to practical experiences of human rights advocates in their own
