IS does not seek to impose solutions, but works on the basis of start with what people know, build with what people have. We believe that development is a process of change, not a series of projects, and our development workers participate in this process aiming to make a contribution of lasting value. Campaign Co-ordinator, Right To Education Campaign, Birzeit University The Right to Education Campaign was established in May 2002 by an academic committee of Birzeit University to raise awareness locally and nationally about the severe crisis facing Palestinian education. The Israeli policy of closures, curfews and checkpoints is disrupting the education of more than a million schoolchildren, and 70,000 university and college students, as well as the operation of essential research institutes and libraries.
