Kind regards, Ghassan Abdallah Executive Director Palestinian Human Rights Organization - PHRO ---------------- EDITOR The Palestinian Human Rights Organization - PHRO, a Beirut-based NGO working to enhance the legal rights of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, is accepting applications for a paid internship post of an editor. The applicant should possess: * English as a native Language * Average work experience in Journalism (as an editor, writer, reporter, freelance&) * Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Publisher&) * Knowledge of the Palestinian issue (preferably through previous jobs or volunteer work) * Previous experience in research (literature review and reporting) * Background in Human Rights (as through a job or earlier volunteer work) Desirable pluses: * A degree in journalism * Previous published articles on the Palestinian issue * Basic knowledge of Arabic * Experience in photography The applicant is expected to: * Conduct various editing and writing tasks * Research for lengthy reports * Participate in writing, editing and designing a human rights newsletter * Accept some administrative tasks Additional conditions: * Has no reservation against working within Palestinian refugee community in Lebanon (including camps) * Willing to commit for a period of at least 6 months.
