PILI seeks Program Assistant for Education and Training Program (Budapest)



PROGRAM ASSISTANT - TRAINING AND EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) is a center for learning and
innovation that advances human rights principles through assisting in
the development of a public interest law infrastructure in Central and
Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia.

PILI was launched by Columbia Law School in 1997 with the support of the
Ford Foundation and recently established its new headquarters in
Budapest. PILI also maintains a small office at Columbia University in
New York.

For our Budapest office we are looking for a highly educated and
motivated professional with an interest in human rights and law reform
in the above-mentioned regions to provide assistance for the Training
and Education Program, reporting to the Legal Officer of Training and
Education.

Responsibilities will include:
Perform general administrative duties for Training and Education Program
staff
Organize meetings and conferences
Handle travel arrangements
Maintain filing systems
Monitor and correct content of PILI website
Keep contact with Columbia University, Central European University and
other related institutions and organizations

Requirements are:
At least 2 years relevant experience
Fluency in Hungarian and English, knowledge of a regional language is
desirable
Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good communication, organization and time management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Salary:
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
