SYNOPSIS:

These scholarships offer individuals committed to peace and
cooperation the opportunity to pursue a two-year master's-level degree
in international studies, peace studies, and conflict resolution at
one of the seven Rotary Centers. Scholarships will include tuition
and required fees, room and board, transportation, and contingency
expenses.

DEADLINE NOTE:

Applications generally need to be completed approximately eighteen
months in advance of the planned study period. Interested applicants
must contact a local Rotary club to ask about local application
deadlines. Club deadlines may be as early as March or as late as
August of the year prior to the study period. Applications must be
submitted to the Rotary Foundation by October 1, 2003.

SYNOPSIS:

The sponsor will provide support for higher education faculty to
teach in low-income countries (per capita GNP of U.S. $6,200 or less)
other than their own. Eligible applicants must hold (or if retired,
have held) a full-time college or university appointment for three or
more years, but need not hold (or have held) a specific rank. Grants
are available for up to ten months.

DEADLINE NOTE:

Application is made through the applicants local Rotary Club.
Application deadlines are set by individual Rotary Clubs. Applicants
must contact their local club for information. Club deadlines will
usually be set between April and August 2003 for 2004-05 award.
Applications must be sent by Rotary Clubs to the Rotary Foundation by
October 1.
