LOOKING FOR WORKSHOP LEADERS IN QUERETARO, MEXICO
Hello,
Every year we organize several intensive workshops on Human Rights
Education (HRE) in Exhacienda Castillo, nearby Queretaro, Mexico with
hundreds of participants from whole over the country. In July we plan the
10th HRE Summer Course. This is a very important and constant effort from
a small local NGO in order to promote a real human rights culture in
Mexico.
I would like to extend our contacts and I am looking for excellent
workshop leaders that would like to volunteer fourteen days in several
parts of Mexico (mainly Queretaro, Mexico City and Puebla) during summer
or Easter holidays. Your Spanish must be fluent (please write us in
Spanish). We expect the workshops to be dynamic, participatory, motivating
and innovative and target teachers, trainers and community workers. Our
workshops vary from 30 to 20 hours. We can help you with plane tickets and
local costs.
Please contact us with a brief CV (one page) and a short workshop proposal
(max. two pages) together with the data (including e-mail) of two
reference persons that can inform us on your talents.
Thank you very much,

FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION FOR THE VOLUNTEER LEGAL AID FOR REFUGEES IN EGYPT
Dear GHRE listserv members,
We, Daniela Raiman and Petra Nohavicova, are two students of MA in Human
Rights and LLM in Constitutional Law respectively, at the CEU in Budapest,
Hungary.
Due to our previous experience and profound interest in the refugee law,
we would like to use the opportunity to work during the summer at the
Egyptian Organization for Human Rights - Legal Aid for Refugees in Cairo,
Egypt. The project is affiliated with the American University in Cairo
(Forced Migration and Refugee Studies) and provides free legal assistance
to refugees - mainly through the work of volunteers coming from all over
the world.
As all the volunteers working with the refugee project have to be
self-sustainable, we are looking for organizations and individuals who
would be able to help us to cover part of the expenses connected with the
volunteering/internship. We succeeded in obtaining a travel grant from our
university, but we still need resources for the accommodation and living
expenses to be covered. A rough estimation for these costs is 750 USD per
person to cover the whole period of 2 months.
We would be very pleased to get a positive response or to be advised as to
possible other options. Should you require any further information, please
do not hesitate to contact us.
Yours sincerely,
Daniela Raiman

Dear all,
I am a volunteer at the Centre for minority Rights Development (CEMIRIDE)
in Kenya and a student pursuing a Masters of Art Studies from Maryknoll
Institute of African Studies of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in

The course is intended to further my understanding and that of our staff
at CEMIRIDE on contemporary issues in Africa from an African perspective.
CEMIRIDE has been kind in supporting me and I have begun the course.
However, my progress will be delayed due to a balance of USD $ 2,000 which
I am now appealing for.
For more information regarding sending support you can contact me Adam H.
