Dear members, Below is a compilation of requests for information sent to the Global Human Rights Education listserv during the past week. At the bottom of each request you will find an e-mail address, so that you can respond to the request directly. ----------------------- REQUEST FOR SPONSORSHIP OF TRAVEL FOR A THREE-WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM I am interested in attending the following course in Romania. I have been offered discounted fee which includes the accommodation, documentation and other expenses. I am able to afford this fee. However, I can not afford the air fare from Karachi (Pakistan) to Cluj (Romania). I am looking for a funder/sponsor who would pay for the air fare. I am a human rights activist working with a local organisation "War Against Rape" for more than four years. I feel that the following course is just right to quench my increasing eagerness to make a difference not just on a local basis but on a global basis too. I am ready to send my resume for the interested funders. The NGOs originate in ten different countries and most of them work together in this network since 1998. In one of our working groups we are looking at different methods of human rights education. During our next meeting in May 2002 we want to also discuss different approaches of how trainers are trained in the field of human rights education. We want to look at how such trainings of trainers are structured, what are the key qualifications of trainers in our field, have organizations developed standards, which techniques need trainers to know. I would very much appreciate it if you could forward me information on this matter, hint towards people that I should ask and pass on your ideas on this matter. I want to thank everybody already who is able to help us with this request for information.
