Dear friends, ARRC has its latest website to serve you better. Please check it out at www.arrc-hre.com ARRC is a non-profit, non government, regional organization founded in 1992 to promote human rights education in the Asia Pacific region. To provide better access and services to our partners across the region and to reach a wider base, we have launched our new website now accessed on http://www.arrc-hre.com to foster active network among and between HRE advocates in the Asia-Pacific region and global community. The website has been segmented into eight categories: - About ARRC this gives a complete description about our vision, mission, goals and our objectives. - Activities a brief description of ARRC's three-year activity plan in response to three major factors: i) the requests and recommendations made by other organizations working in human rights education related fields in the Asia-Pacific region, ii) the United Nations Decade for Human Rights Education (UNDHRE) and iii) the ARRC Board and Secretariat, August 2001 Strategic Planning Activity. - Training's information regarding the training programs ARRC has designed, organized and facilitated using Popular Education Techniques at local, national and at the regional and international level for skills enhancement of human rights education practitioners in formal and non-formal education. - Directory this provides a list of 1,112 contact details of organizations related to Human Rights Education work in Asia and the Pacific. A good list of national organizations, national human rights institutions, regional organizations and others working in HRE. - My Drawing, My Rights a view into the Asian Visual Art Activity organized for and with Children by ARRC in 1998 to raise awareness of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). The project aims to instill child participation in the campaign to raise awareness about children's rights. - Schedules provides a detailed description of the major future plans of ARRC. - Publications a list of the publications undertaken by ARRC which can be ordered online. - Resource Material the most recent book publication of ARRC is on line. A catalogued detailed list of manuals, country reports, proceedings, journals, newsletters, directories and catalogues along with the publishers contact address. A good resource material for human rights advocates.
