[***The English version of this message follows below the Russian announcement, Mod.***] Московская школа прав человека, Представительство ЮНЕСКО в Российской Федерации, Комиссия по правам человека при Президенте РФ, Московский Комитет образования проводят с 3 по 7 декабря 2001 г. в г. Москве ежегодную XI Международную сессию "Права человека, культура мира, толерантность - содержание и методы обучения". Сессия проводится в рамках Плана действий на Десятилетие образования в области прав человека ООН 1995-2004 годы, Программы действий ООН в области культуры мира, рекомендаций ЮНЕСКО и Совета Европы по обучению правам человека. В работе сессии участвуют известные специалисты в области прав человека, права, политологии, педагогики, представляющие российские и международные организации. Будут рассмотрены следующие проблемы: - гражданское образование - гражданскому обществу; - международные акции: права человека, культура мира, толерантность; - межкультурные, межэтнические, межконфессиональные отношения: конфликты или диалог? - обучение правам человека, культуре мира, ненасилию (задачи, содержание, методы воспитания и обучения): опыт России и зарубежных стран. Помимо пленарных заседаний, работа будет проходить в следующих секциях: 1. Высшее образование. 2. Общее образование (школы, педвузы, ИПК учителей). 3. Неформальное образование, правозащитные организации. Участники сессии посетят вузы и школы г. Москвы, государственные и правозащитные неправительственные организации, комитеты Государственной Думы, где познакомятся с их работой в данной области. На сессию приглашаются профессорско-преподавательский состав вузов, руководители образовательных учреждений, специалисты, курирующие общественные дисциплины, учителя школ, представители неформальных систем образования, правозащитных организаций. Обучение на сессии бесплатное. Участникам сессии предоставляется комплект литературы. Проезд, проживание и питание - за счет направляющей стороны. Форма заявки, информация о месте проведения доступна в Интернете на Web-сайте Московской школы прав человека: http://www.mshr.ru/ и по тел./факсу (095) 577-69-04. ---- On December 3th - 7th, 2001, the Moscow School of Human Rights, the UNESCO Representatives in the Russian Federation, the Presidential Commission on Human Rights, and the Moscow Committee of Education are going to hold in Moscow the annual 11th International Session "Human Rights, Culture of Peace, Tolerance - Content and Methods of Education" (training for secondary schools teachers, higher schools professors, instructors on social sciences, lecturers, managers of educational institutions, social workers, NGOs representatives to prepare them to human rights, civic, democracy and peace education). The session is carried out in the framework of the Plan of Action for United Nations Decade for Human Rights Education, United Nations Program of Action on a Culture of Peace, and UNESCO and Council of Europe recommendations on human rights education. Famous specialists in the sphere of human rights, law, political science, pedagogy, etc., representing Russian and international organizations, take part in the Session. The following problems will be discussed: - civic education - for the civil society; - international actions: human rights, culture of peace, tolerance; - intercultural, interethnic, interconfessional relations: conflicts or dialogue? - human rights, culture of peace and non-violence education (tasks, content, methods of upbribging and teaching): Russian and foreign experience. In addition to the plenary meetings, the following sections will be organized: 1. Higher Education 2. General Education (schools; higher and advanced training pedagogical institutions) 3. Informal Education, Human Rights Organizations The participants of the Session will visit high and secondary schools of Moscow, governmental institutions and human rights NGOs, committees of the State Duma (Parliament) to get acquainted with their work in these fields. On the Web site of the Moscow School of Human Rights (http://www.mshr.ru/engl/) you could find the programs of several previous sessions. The forthcoming 11th Session will be built on the same model. The working language of the Session is Russian. During the Session and we will provide translation to English. Training materials and literature are free of charge for the participants. The foreign participants are free of the registration fee (the registration fee for Russian participants is $20, see details at http://www.mshr.ru/engl/). Unfortunately we are not able to pay for your trip and stay in Russia. Your participation in the Session will be a great help for us. We invite your organisation, you in person and your colleagues to take part in the Session. You may propose the theme of your report.
