Human Rights Education listserv over the past week. As was announced
earlier, HREA intends to bundle queries into one message, which will be
distributed on the list once a week.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS AND INTERNS (INDIA)

We would welcome volunteers and interns with us for short periods who
could document whatever work that we have been able to progress with in
the field of HRE and also in the field of human rights monitoring,
documentation intervention, rehabilitation etc.

LOOKING FOR RESOURCES FOR PREPARATION OF EVALUATION MANUAL

The Center for Sustainable Human Rights Action, formerly the Human Rights
Program of the Fund for Peace, is in the process of collecting information
and resources for a manual on Evaluation for Human Rights Organizations.  
As the fifth book in our Human Rights Institution-Building Series, the
manual will share methods used by human rights groups for evaluating their
external impact as well as their internal functioning.  We are currently
completing the background research phase and will soon be identifying
regional resource-persons to serve as co-authors of the publication.

We would appreciate input and suggestions regarding the following:
   
	1.. Existing publications dealing with evaluation (i.e. training
manuals, articles, etc.)
   
	2.. First-hand narratives of evaluation experiences--successes,
failures, etc.
   
	3.. Potential " regional resource-persons" to serve as co-authors
for the handbook. (We are seeking experienced evaluators from Latin
America, Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe to conduct interviews and
compile information to be used in the publication)
