A NATIONAL
TRAINING-OF-TRAINERS WORKSHOP
FOR
HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION

AUGUST 17-20, 2000
UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA, MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA

Human Rights Resource Center and the Stanley Foundation are pleased to 
announce the first national training-of-trainers workshop in human rights 
education in the United States. Open to activists and educators already 
experienced in human rights, the training will take place in at the 
University of Minnesota in Minneapolis August 17-20, 2000. Its goal is to 
share expertise and refine techniques and methodologies in order to 
increase the body of qualified human rights trainers. Workshop topics 
include facilitation skills, workshop planning, and strategies for 
educating about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the rights of 
the child, women's human rights, social and economic rights, and gay and 
lesbian rights.

Costs for transportation, room, board, and materials will be covered for 
all selected participants. Teachers, students, community organizers, and 
social activists and are especially encouraged to apply. Deadline for 
application: June 1. For application forms and further information, contact
