New Voices Fellowship Global Youth Connect Description: Global Youth Connect, an international youth-led human rights organization, seeks candidates for a potential full-time 2-year fellowship sponsored by the Ford Foundation. The New Voices Fellow will be responsible for directing Global Youth Connect's program development and implementation. In particular, the Fellow will work on these specific programs currently in development: 1) a Human Rights Learning Community, to train and support young human rights defenders from around the world; 2) a Youth Activist Support Network, to provide on-going whole person support to young human rights and social justice activists; 3) a New Activism Initiative, to inspire and educate a new generation of human rights and social justice activists in the United States; and 4) International Youth Action Campaigns, solidarity campaigns in support of young human rights and social justice activists. Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills; experience and/or interest in social justice, human rights, international development, conflict resolution, mediation, intercultural understanding, curriculum development, workshop facilitation and/or education; an experience with innovative teaching pedagogies. Familiarity with non-profits is helpful. A sense of humor is invaluable. Applicants must be US citizens or already approved to work in the US. Applicants must be willing to work from New York City.
