[hr-education] New Summer School at Birkbeck College (UK)

The University of London College that brought you 5 Human Rights Study
Days between 1996 and 1999 and 3 different human rights courses, now
proudly offers its first ever Human Rights Summer School.

The course will be directed by Bernie Hamilton.
Birkbeck College will hold its inaugural Human Rights Summer School from
Saturday July 22 - Saturday July 29, 2000
at Westonbirt, Gloucestershire, UK.

There will be 14 hours of class time as well as tutorials.
Topics include both civil and political rights as well as social and
economic rights, the role and methods of human rights defenders, and the
growing importance of international human rights law.

The cost of the course is approximately $500. This includes tuition,
accommodation and meals. Birkbeck College has been holding successful
summer schools in Westonbirt for many years. The grounds possess a golf
course and swimming pool.
