I was involved a couple of years ago in producing curriculum materials on child labor, which were published by the Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education. The curriculum materials are suitable for high school or community college students, but could be adapted to younger or older students. I'm trying now to raise money for a 2nd edition, to include more photography, as part of Phase II of Child Labor & the Global Village: Photography for Social Change (www.childlaborphotoproject.org). If I can raise the money -- and any suggestions for funding sources would be warmly received -- it would be terrific if we could workshop the materials with some students and teachers. The Human Rights grade school in Brooklyn would be a terrific place to start, but we also would like to look overseas as well. Ultimately, the curriculum materials we produce should be easy to adapt for use in any school system. I would be interested in receiving any thoughts from members of this listserv.
