The Mine & Yours Project for Children

Mine & Yours Project for Children

Amnesty International USA is pleased to present the MINE & YOURS Project
for children, featuring the new book MINE AND YOURS: HUMAN RIGHTS FOR
KIDS, written by acclaimed children's author Joy Berry.

Learning about human rights is the first step toward respecting, promoting
and defending those rights. Amnesty International believes that human
rights education should begin with young children, in classrooms, learning
communities and at home.

MINE & YOURS is Amnesty International's first picture book on human
rights. Written to complement and benefit AIUSA's Human Rights Education
program, the book defines and explains for children their rights and
teaches them how to assert these rights with integrity and responsibility.

Illustrated by award-winning artist, Nicole Richardson, the book is part
of a larger educational initiative for primary school students, including
the 13-song CD, a teachers' guide and curriculum materials, a calendar and
DVD.
