Pre-conference on HRE at bi-annual USHRN meeting (Atlanta, Nov. 11, 2005)

Dear colleagues and friends,

The bi-annual meeting of the U.S. Human Rights Network will take place in
Atlanta beginning on the evening of Friday, November 11th and ending on
Sunday afternoon, November 13th. This is a unique opportunity to connect
up with human rights activists throughout the country and to participate
in a fascinating range of workshops addressing human rights in the U.S.,
such as human rights under the war on terror, identity and human rights
and shadow reporting. Be sure visit the US Human Rights Network at
{http://www.ushrnetwork.org/ } in order to register for the conference!

In conjunction with this, there will be a a *pre-conference meeting on
human rights education* that will take place during the day on that
Friday, November 11th. This is open to anyone planning on attending the
conference and is intended to be a forum for future planning on HRE in the
States - specifically, looking to develop synergies in our ongoing work as
well as new plans. You can sign up for the pre-conference workshop when
you register for the bi-annual meeting. Please consider attending!

You can stay informed about "planning for the pre-conference" as well as
outcomes of the meeting itself by joining the US Human Rights Network
on-line and signing up for the Education Caucus. Please feel free to write
me should you have any questions.

Warm regards,
Felisa
